Chef Sal graduated from the New York Food and Hotel Management School in a part of New York City known as SOHO in 1989. Sal's love of cooking comes from his Italian mother who "made the gravy" and showed all of her love in her cooking. Sal has worked in four star restaurants, neighborhood pizzerias, local delis, and large catering companies. Sal's experience and family led him to Alaska where he worked at local restaurants briefly before opening up his own grill and pizzeria inside Chilkoot Charlie's.
